The purpose built Bakery that forms the backbone of Forfars was built in 1990 and has an area of over 30,000 sq. ft. There are specialist departments for Bread, Pastries, Filled Rolls & Sandwiches, Fresh Cream Cakes, Confectionery and Celebration Cakes. In addition to these departments we have a specific raw material storage area (which includes 3 flour silos) and a despatch area for baked goods.
The location of our Central Bakery - next to the A27 and near the A23 allows us to deliver within Sussex quickly and easily.
PRODUCTION FACILITIES
Forfars are continually re-investing in the latest production equipment - but automation is only used when the finished product is better than that produced by hand. The Bakery has recently seen the addition of the latest weighing systems to ensure all products are produced to the same high specifications. We have also recently incorporated several improved production lines, including a Kemper Bread and Roll divider/moulder and a Rondo Pastry line along with a Rondo Jumbolina pastry line.

Our product range includes:
- Many varieties of Crusty Breads and Rolls.
- Frozen and Baked Pastries - both sweet and savoury.
- Hand Finished Confectionery goods...from Jam Doughnuts to Bakewell Tarts to Gingerbread Men to Madeira Loaf Cakes!
- Filled Rolls and Sandwiches.
- Fresh Cream Cakes
- Hand Finished, personalised, Celebration Cakes
- Specific Seasonal Goods are also available, such as Hot Cross Buns and Mince Pies.
TRANSPORTATION
We run our own fleet of 11 vans that are available to deliver our goods throughout Sussex at pre arranged times.
SUPPORT
Our Administration Office is on hand Monday to Saturday to deal with any queries and questions that you may have.
